Table T- I
Table T-I (2001) commissioned by Ro Art Inc., New York City.
A client needed a table for a specific location with a glass tabletop. I was interested in taking over the structural support concept of Bookshelves I that is symmetrical on its central axis and use it on this table. With it the frame of the table turns out to be symmetric in the X- as well as in the Y-axis. Therefore the top and bottom of the frame become identical with the exception of the material of the pad that touches either the floor or the glass top. The essential intersection of the vertical and horizontal elements tries to be minimal but efficient. Simplicity in its perfection.
