Functionality of the piece:
A viewer enters the space and approaches the piece hanging on a wall. The person sees itself reflected in the mirror of the vanity. As one draws closer the reflected image of oneself suddenly changes into the one of somebody else. As the viewer stands still and looks at the stranger suddenly the mirror reflects the image of the viewer again. As soon as the viewer starts to move the image of the stranger appears anew.
